If you own both Minecraft: Java Edition and Minecraft: Bedrock Edition, you can link the two accounts so DadCraft recognizes them as one player identity.

That means you can move between supported Java and Bedrock devices while continuing with your linked Java player identity instead of creating a separate Bedrock profile on the server. Best of all, keep your inventory, claims and valuables across devices!

Without linking, Bedrock players may appear on DadCraft with a separate username beginning with a dot.

Java: fredd
Bedrock: .freddsphone

Those are treated as separate player identities.

After linking, your Bedrock login can use your linked Java identity, helping you continue with the same player data when switching between platforms.

When your accounts are linked, DadCraft will use the player data associated with your Java account. Any separate progress currently stored under your Bedrock-only identity may not be available while the accounts are linked.

Before linking, move anything important from your separate Bedrock player identity to your Java account.

Check things like:

  • Inventory
  • Armor
  • Ender Chest contents
  • Important items or valuables

Once you’re sure you won’t lose anything valuable in bedrock, you’re ready to link.

DadCraft supports Geyser Global Linking. You only need to choose one linking method. We highly recommend Online Linking as it takes 2 minutes. You’ll want to do this from a computer, not a phone for ease.

Option 1: Online Linking

Recommended for most players

Use Geyser’s official account-linking page and choose Online Linking.

You will sign in to verify that you control both your Bedrock / Microsoft account
and your Java Edition account.

Once both accounts are verified, the link is created.

Option 2: Server Linking

Prefer to verify through Minecraft itself?

Choose Server Linking on Geyser’s official linking page. You will connect to Geyser’s linking server using both your Java and Bedrock accounts and follow the instructions provided there.

You do NOT need to complete both methods. Online Linking and Server Linking are simply two ways to create the same account link.

Once linking is complete:

  1. Leave DadCraft.
  2. Fully close Minecraft.
  3. Reopen Minecraft.
  4. Join DadCraft again from your Bedrock device.

You do not need to sign out of your Microsoft account. Closing the server on both defices is sufficient to allow DadCraft to cycle your usernames and trigger the linking.

DadCraft should now recognize the linked account relationship when you reconnect.

Bedrock Edition is available across devices including:

  • Windows Bedrock Edition
  • iPhone and iPad
  • Android devices
  • Xbox
  • PlayStation
  • Nintendo Switch

Connection methods can vary by device, especially on consoles.

Something not matching up after linking?

Do not panic and do not repeatedly unlink and relink accounts.

Reach out to DadCraft staff in Discord and tell us:

Your Java username
Your Bedrock / Microsoft gamertag
What device you are joining from

We will help you figure out which identity the server is seeing.

Your desk. Your couch. Your phone. Your suspiciously long bathroom break.

Link your accounts once, then keep building.
