Play DadCraft your way
DadCraft is built as a Java Minecraft server first, so the best experience is Minecraft Java Edition on PC. That gives you the smoothest compatibility, the best performance, the cleanest plugin support, and access to our favorite setup through Prism Launcher. It also allows for our favorite shader: Unbound.
Recommended: Java Edition on PC
Best for: PC players, mod-friendly setup, best DadCraft experience
What you need:
Minecraft Java Edition
A Microsoft/Minecraft account
Prism Launcher, recommended
DadCraft server address
Server Address:
live.playdadcraft.com

Why we recommend Prism:
Prism Launcher makes it easier to manage Minecraft versions, mods, resource packs, and separate game instances without turning your main Minecraft install into a haunted junk drawer. Prism describes itself as an open-source Minecraft launcher for managing multiple instances, accounts, mods, and resource packs.

Heads up:
Mobile works best on strong Wi-Fi. Cellular connections can work, but Minecraft gets cranky when your signal starts doing interpretive dance.
Xbox and PlayStation
Best for: Console players who really want to join from the couch
Console Bedrock is the trickiest option. Xbox and PlayStation do not always make it simple to add private external servers directly, so here’s the detail you need:
Server Address:live.playdadcraft.com
Port:25690
Basic idea:
- Open Minecraft on your console.
- Go to Play.
- Check the Servers tab.
- If your console allows Add Server, enter:
live.playdadcraft.com
Port:25690 - If your console does not show Add Server, use the console connection guide in our Discord.
Important console note:
Console joining may require extra steps because Microsoft/Sony/Nintendo handle external servers differently than PC and mobile. We’ll keep the Discord guide updated with the current easiest method.
Quick Troubleshooting
If you cannot connect, check these first:
Make sure you are using the right Minecraft edition. Java uses the Java server address. Bedrock uses the Bedrock address and port.
Make sure your game version matches DadCraft.
If Bedrock says it cannot connect, check that you used the correct port.
If console does not show an Add Server option, use the console guide in Discord.
If you are approved but still cannot join, ask for help in Discord and include your Minecraft username, platform, and the error message.
